About This Project
I love collage as a way to bring people together. It’s accessible to everyone – all you need is some glue, scissors, and materials you probably already have lying around. I want everyone to experience the joy of making art, and collage is such a fun, non-intimidating way to jump in.
During COVID, I started a collage project with my neighbors that became so much more than just keeping busy – it brought us together, led to a group show, and raised money for local arts. We turned a hard time into something positive, and I’ve really missed that sense of connection.
Take a kit, make a collage, and share your creation! Snap a photo and post on Instagram using #sidewalkcollagelibrary, and email it to collage@amybondstudio.com for our online gallery.
Then frame it and hang it up—let it bring you a little happiness every time you look at it!
Right now, with everything feeling so intense, I’m craving that same sense of connection and lightness. This project is my way of offering a small bright spot in people’s day – and hopefully creating a little community through creativity.
