This series came about after my husband shrank my all-time favorite black sweater. I held onto the (now doll-sized) sweater for months, unable to let it go.

In the studio I had a group of small shadow boxes and that sparked the idea to memorialize a piece of my sweater. As this was a laundry incident, I followed this path and continued documenting all the domestic duties, necessary as they are, that I find less than enjoyable: dishes, cleaning, errands, etc. Here are my “Domestic Disturbances.”

Btw, Gary is banned from laundry duty, which in hindsight, may have been a strategic move on his part. ;)
